Baggage

As a reminder, no person should board a flight when they are feeling ill as this could potentially put others at risk. Should symptoms such as a fever, cough or difficulty breathing develop while in flight, please notify the flight crew immediately.

Checked Baggage

For your convenience, each passenger is allowed, free of charge, one complimentary piece of checked baggage, one carry-on item and one small personal item. The dimensions of checked items may not exceed 90 inches in overall length, width and height, nor exceed 50 lbs. Additional checked items will be subject to an Excess Baggage Fee of $20.00, each way. Any checked bag fees must be paid at the ticket counter prior to departure.
Each ticketed passenger is limited to 5 pieces of checked baggage. All baggage fees are non-refundable and apply per person, each way. Additional fees may apply for overweight and/or oversize bags or specialty items. Also, you may have to pay additional checked baggage fees if:
The maximum exterior dimensions (length + width + height) of standard checked baggage is 62 inches (158 cm), including handles and wheels.
You will receive a claim check (a receipt) for each checked bag. Please keep these claim checks until you collect all of your checked baggage at the end of your travel.
You can only check bags on the day you travel, and your bags must travel to the same ticketed final destination as you. Be sure your name is on all bags before you check them. Go to the Check-in and Arrival Times page to see the cut-off time for checking baggage at your departure airport. Please keep in mind that we can’t check your baggage if you do not meet these specified times. If your itinerary contains a connecting flight on another carrier, please review the Other Airlines section below.

Baggage Claim

Baggage claim policies and experience vary by airport. Find your destination airport’s policy by visiting our airport information page.

Airport Information

If you have lost an item while traveling with us, please contact Customer Experience at customerdreamteam@CityJetInc.com or or by calling 1-888-33-CITY JET (332-6686).
If you believe that an item has been stolen from you, please see a City Jet ticketing agent or airport representative who will be happy to put you in contact with airport police.
When you arrive in the U.S. from an international city, you will claim your checked bags before going through Customs.

Lost, Damaged, and Delayed Bags

If you arrive on City Jet at your final destination and your bags have not arrived with you, our goal is to return them within 24 hours (for flights within the U.S.) Some of the reasons it may take us longer to get you your delayed bags:
To file a complaint regarding lost, damaged, or delayed baggage, please see a City Jet representative and request a Mishandled Property form. This document will need to be completed to locate your bag. Please note that this document must be filled out within four hours of your arrival for your complaint to be filed. To check the status of your lost, damaged, or delayed baggage, please email our Customer Experience team at Customerdreamteam@City JetInc.com. A representative will make every effort to locate your bag, but if we are unsuccessful a final resolution will be made in line with our Contract of Carriage. We will reimburse you up to $75 per day (up to three days) for reasonable expenses incurred while away from home without your bags. Within 30 days of your delay, please send us:
If you arrive at your final destination on another airline, please check with that airline for information regarding lost, damaged, or delayed baggage.

Carry On Baggage

In general, you’re allowed one (1) carry-on bag and one (1) personal item:
Items unable to fit underneath seats or in the overhead compartment will be collected prior to boarding and be available for pickup plane-side upon arrival.
In addition to a carry-on bag, passengers may bring one (1) personal item such as a purse, laptop, reading material, umbrella, backpack or camera case. Diaper bags, child safety seats, strollers and medical or mobility devices don’t count as your bag or personal item. You may carry on a fully collapsible stroller if it’s under 20 lbs. and fits in an overhead bin. All other strollers must be checked at the ticket counter. Strollers are exempt from excess bag fees if they must be checked.
If you need to check your carry-on bags, be sure to take any fragile or valuable items like your keys, medication or computers with you. Also, remove and carry on any e-cigarettes, spare batteries for laptops, cameras or other mobile devices.
All Carry-on baggage must comply with the TSA Carry-On Baggage Policy:

TSA 3-1-1 Rule

All bags are subject to inspection.  We will not accept checked or carry-on bags we deem unsuitable for transportation for any reasons like size, weight or character.

Oversize Baggage

Checked items exceeding the size limitations will be assessed an Oversize Fee of $20.00 each way. Oversized items must be capable of fitting in the aircraft cargo compartment. Checked items weighing over 50 pounds will be assessed an Overweight Fee of $20.00 each way.
The maximum exterior dimensions (length + width + height) of standard checked baggage is 62 inches (158 cm), including handles and wheels. Oversize baggage with total outer dimensions (length + width + height) measuring more than 115 inches (292 cm) will not be accepted as checked baggage.
Any applicable service charges for oversized and extra baggage will be added together. For example, if a single bag is oversized and above the weight allowance, it will be subject to both service charges.
Sports equipment and other large items can be accepted for an additional fee of $35.00. For a list of accepted items, please reference our Contract of Carriage.
Please note that oversize baggage and sports equipment are accepted only if space is available on the aircraft.
Assistive devices are accepted at no charge. Please visit our Special Assistance page for more information.
